Wladwyslaw Saldyka was born in a village in the neighbourhood of Wroczlaw. Before the war this region was German territory; now it is Polish. He is a very productive painter and sculptor. In his sculptures he especially portrays musicians and all kind of birds. His works are present in the important Polish museums and in private local and foreign collections. He participated in many exhibitions and received a lot of rewards.
